Popis: | The rapid technological development and processing of large amount of personal data have led to the need to control the processing of personal data not only by data protection supervisory authorities but also within the public administration organizations themselves. The designation of the data protection officer in public administration has become an obligation in the EU for all Member States by adopting a General Data Protection Regulation on May 25, 2018. In the process of EU accession, Serbia has adopted the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation in the Personal Data Protection Act 2019. In this way, the designation of the data protection officer in public administration has become mandatory in Serbia as well. The data protection officer has primarily an advisory and supervisory role in organizations, and a new role is the risk assessment for data protection. |
