Popis: | Doi: 10.5902/2179769211020 Aim: to describe the perceptions of people with chronic kidney insufficiency in pre-dialysis treatment about the progress of disease. Method: qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research developed in an ambulatory of uremia of a public hospital in South of Brazil. Fifteen people participated with chronic kidney insufficiency in predialysis treatment. The narrative interview of experience was utilized to collect data and they were analysed according to thematic analysis. Results: the emphasis is that with the possibility of progression of chronic kidney insufficiency, people in pre-dialysis treatment feel afraid about the hemodialysis, which sometimes, made them take care of health and have a better adhesion to treatment. Conclusion: it concluded that the nurse could minimize the negative feelings in relations to the progression of kidney disease through health educational activities that aim its promotion. |
