Diagnosis poses challenges due to its similarity to other respiratory infections. Treatment includes tetracyclines, macrolides, and fluoroquinolones, with limited evidence on the efficacy of omadacycline. We report a case of an 86-year-old male with severe psittacosis treated with omadacycline, resulting in significant improvement. This highlights the necessity for further research on omadacycline’s role in psittacosis treatment.Keywords: Chlamydia psittaci, omadacycline, pneumonia |
