In this study, the ichthyoplankton status of Gökova Inner Bay was evaluated in autumn. No data was available for that season until now. As a result of the sampling conducted at the creek outflows of Gökova Inner Bay (Kadın Creek and Akçapınar Creek) and the coastal area between creeks in October-November 2013, fish eggs and larvae belonging to 6 species and 5 families were detected. The recorded families are Sparidae, Callionymidae, Gobiidae, Soleidae, Bothidae which belong to groups that live in the shore. As a result, it is observed that fish reproduction activities in autumn in Gökova Inner Bay area continues at a low level. Moreover, although larvae of Gobius spp. and Soleidae eggs are found in Akçapınar Creek, no eggs or larvae are recorded in Kadın Creek. The number of individuals was found at a very low level (3 individual/10m³). The small number of species and individuals is related to the scarcity of nutrients in autumn and the reproduction periods of the fish species at the sampling dates. |
