Popis: The objective of this article is to analyze the Brazilian National Food and Nutrition Security Policy (PNSAN) and its implementation towards indigenous peoples. To do this, a socio-demographic description of the indigenous peoples of Brazil is made to have a general overview of the characteristics of this population. Likewise, the legal framework, structure, components and concrete actions of the PNSAN are analyzed. The findings indicate that, in the case of indigenous peoples, although there is significant progress in the inclusion of their participation in the processes of the politics, there are still several things to do before they can reach a full adaptation. In broader terms, the ethnic diversity recognized in the PNSAN must include an adequate quantification of the various vulnerable groups that make up Brazilian society, as well as the design of a policy that resolves conflicts in the distribution of land that contributes to stimulating the production of food in indigenous communities
