Popis:	We discuss the new concepts behind EPOS4, a new theoretical framework for modeling hadronic interactions at ultrarelativistic energies. It amounts to reconciling a multiple scattering picture of Gribov-Regge type (with parallel scatterings) and factorization, the standard tool for high-energy scattering.
