Effects of the Arab Spring on the foreign trade of wood-based boards in Turkey

| Popis: | Türkiye’nin Arap Baharı hareketlerinden etkilenen Cezayir, Fas, Libya, Mısır, Suriye ve Tunus ile Ortadoğu ülkeleri Filistin, Irak, İran ve İsrail ile siyasi, kültürel ve ekonomik ilişkileri ile uzun bir geçmişe sahiptir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye ile yukarıda adı geçen ülkelerle odun esaslı levha (OEL) ürünlerinden MDF, yonga levha, melaminli yonga levha, kontrplak, OSB ve çimentolu yonga levhanın dış ticaretinin 2010-2019 arasındaki değişimi incelenmiştir. Varılan sonuçlara göre bu on ülke ile (bölge ülkeleri) 1.813.788.000 $’lık OEL ürünleri dış ticaret hacmi olup; bunun 1.810.965.000 $’lık kısmı ihracat, 2.823.000 $’lık kısmı ise ithalat olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Türkiye OEL ürünleri dış ticaretinde en çok İran (951.919.000 $), en az ise Filistin (13.000 $) ile alışveriş yapmıştır. Türkiye’nin OEL ürünleri dış ticaretinin İran, Irak, İsrail ve Filistin ile Arap Baharı hareketlerinden bağımsız geliştiği görüldü. Diğer ülkelerde aksine 2010’da düşmeye başladı, 2013’ten itibaren toparlanmaya başladı. Türkiye’nin bölge ülkelerine yaptığı OEL ürünleri ihracatı içinde en yüksek pay MDF’nin (1.558.512.000 $), en az ise OSB’nin (3.300.000 $) olmuştur. Türkiye’nin 2010-2019 en çok ve en az ithal ettiği OEL ürünleri sırasıyla kontrplak (2.597.000 $), en az ithal ettiği iki ürün ise 2000 dolarlık tutarlarla OSB ve çimentolu yonga levhadır. Turkey has a long past including political, cultural, and economic relationships with Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Syrian and Tunisia that were affected Arab Spring and Palestine, Iraq, Iran, and Israel that are in The Middle East. In this study, changing of foreign trade data of wood-based boards (WBBs) products such as MDF, particleboard, melamine faced-particleboard, plywood, OSB, and cement-bonded particleboard between Turkey and countries above mentioned was examined for the 2010-2019 period. According to data obtained, the foreign trade of WBBs products with those countries (countries in the region) has $ 1.813.788.000 foreign trade volume. Turkey’s export was $ 1.810.965.000 and import was $ 2.823.000. Iran has the maximum amount with $ 951.919.000 and Palestine has the minimum amount with $ 13.000 at Turkey’s WBBs products foreign trade. It was seen that Turkey’s foreign trade of WBBs products with Iran, Iraq, Israel and Palestine was not affected by Arab Spring. Conversely, it was started to decrease by 2010 and then started to recovered by 2013 in other countries. MDF has the highest value with $ 1.558.512.000 and OSB has the least value with $ 3.300.000 in Turkey’s WBBs export to countries in the region. The most imported WBBs product by Turkey was plywood with $ 2.597.00 value and the least imported WBBs products were OSB and cement bonded particle board which each has $ 2.000 value. |
