Demokratik Öğrenme Ortamının İnşasına Yönelik Öğretmen Görüşlerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Popis: The purpose of this research is to evaluate teachers' views on the construction of a democratic learning environment. The research was carried out with the phenomenological model of the qualitative research method. The study group was determined by the easily accessible case sampling method, which is one of the purposive sampling methods. In this context, 40 teachers, 11 female and 29 male, from different branches, who teach at primary, secondary and high school levels, participated in the research. The data of the research were collected with a semi-structured interview form consisting of three questions. In the research, opinions about the teachers' perspective and the responsibilities of teachers, school management and students for the construction of a democratic learning environment were taken. The themes and codes were extracted by making content analysis of the obtained opinions. As a result of the research, it is expected that the school administration will consult the common opinions of teachers, students and parents in making decisions about the school in the construction of a democratic learning environment; that teachers should provide a democratic learning environment for students in the classroom; it is effective for students to adopt the school and the classroom; It has been concluded that students, teachers, school management and parents should act with a common understanding for a democratic learning environment. When all stakeholders act with a common purpose and perception, a democratic learning environment is formed in integrity. At this point, it is necessary for each individual to fulfill their responsibilities during the education process.
Bu araştırmanın amacı demokratik öğrenme ortamının inşasına yönelik olarak öğretmen görüşlerini değerlendirmektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yönteminin olgubilim deseni ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubu, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden olan kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmaya ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise kademelerinde eğitim veren farklı branşlardan 11’i kadın, 29’u erkek olmak üzere 40 öğretmen katılımda bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri üç sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada öğretmenlerin bakış açısı ile öğretmenlerin, okul yönetiminin ve öğrencilerin demokratik öğrenme ortamının inşasına yönelik olarak sorumlulukları hakkında görüşler alınmıştır. Elde edilen görüşler içerik analizi yapılarak bunlardan tema ve kodlar çıkartılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda demokratik öğrenme ortamının inşasında okul yönetiminin okulla ilgili karar almada öğretmen, öğrenci ve velilerin ortak görüşlerine başvurmasının beklenildiği; öğretmenlerin, sınıfta öğrenciler için demokratik öğrenme ortamı sağlamaları gerektiği; öğrencilerin, okulu ve sınıfı benimsemelerinin etkili olduğu; demokratik öğrenme ortamı için öğrenci, öğretmen, okul yönetimi ve velilerin ortak bir anlayışla hareket etmesi gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Tüm paydaşlar ortak bir amaç ve algı ile hareket ettiğinde bir bütünlük içinde demokratik öğrenme ortamı oluşmaktadır. Bu noktada eğitim süreci içerisinde her bireyin üstüne düşen sorumlulukları yerine getirmesi gerekmektedir.
