The European perception of India has been studied extensively over the past few years.1 Most of these studies focus on individual (or a limited number of) EU member states and work with limited time frames. This is not surprising, given the abundance of sources available for such research. As a consequence, however, the perception is often studied in a detailed way. This contribution aspires to offer a larger frame, working from a bird’s‐eye perspective, and in this way compare different European countries, evolutions over time in fields of interests and disciplinary approaches, and shifts in metanarratives. It will do so by analysing reports of European think tanks on India. |
