Verification of Focal Plane Array for STEAMR through CEM Simulations and Quasi-Optical Beam Pattern Measurements

Popis: In this contribution we present results of the breadboard activities for the STEAMR Focal Plane Array (FPA) developed at the Institute of Applied Physics at the University of Bern. These results include a summary of the synthesis of the FPA by industry with accompanying tolerance analysis and alignment measurements. We then report on the initial beam pattern measurements of the FPA at the in-house measurement facility at IAP with both far-field measurements of the component feedhorns independent of the FPA and near-field measurements for the seven FPA beams. These measurements are compared against simulations and conclusions to the CMM measured surface data is drawn.
