Popis: Rotating drum thermal units – rotary kilns are widely used in many industries. They are used as a basic unit in the processing of the raw material. However, the most widely used in the industry of building materials, which in most cases are the main production line machines.The effectiveness of rotary kiln largely depends on the efficient use of fuel and the correct choice of structural elements that ensure reliable operation of the heating unit. An important indicator of the quality of the furnace is the reliability and durability of the support mechanism and riding ring, who take all the load of the weight of the drum.The calculation model of a rotary kiln was developed. The stress-strain state and temperature distribution with taking full account of the structural elements and the various physical and mechanical properties were defined. It studied a solution that includes the structure of the support mechanism and the ring, with increased reliability in operation. The decrease of the internal stress and to ensure a uniform distribution is achieved by installing on the end surfaces of the shroud-layer insulation. This reduces the temperature gradient and the amount of thermal stress. In turn, the thrust rollers optimal setting provides more uniform distribution of stresses in riding ring.To simulate the operation of the furnace used in the department developed an integrated system "VESNA", designed to simulate hydrodynamic, thermal processes and perform strength calculations using the finite element method. The numerical experiment to simulate a variety of installation of riding ring’s options and thrust mechanisms was carried out. The calculation results were analyzed and then technical solution was suggested to reduce the amount of stress in the refractory units and to increase the resource utilization of riding ring up to 35-57%. Due to the optimal placement of the thrust rollers, bending of the axis of the drum rotation in the rotary kiln is reduced, which increases the reliability of the riding ring’s use and has a positive effect on the steel shell and the firebrick lining.The maximum voltage cycle in of riding ring decreased on average by 30 %, the amplitude of the cycle is 17%, and the deflection of 6.5 %.The results can be used to design new equipment and to improve the existing equipment. This will increase the operational life of the riding ring, the steel shell and the firebrick lining, extending its lifetimes.
Описано розрахункову модель обертової печі, що дозволяє визначати напружено-деформований стан і розподіл температур у конструктивних елементах із різними фізико-механічними властивостями. Змодельовані різні варіанти встановлення бандажа та опорних механізмів. Запропоновано технічне рішення, що дозволяє зменшити напруження в опорних вузлах і збільшити ресурс бандажа на 35…57 %. Завдяки оптимальному розташуванню опірних роликів зменшується викривлення осі барабана печі, що підвищує надійність бандажа й позитивно впливає на роботу корпуса й футерування.
