Popis: | The article analyzes Ivan Kyprian’s pedagogical legacy and reveals its significance for the development of musical education in Galicia in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. It has been established that it is deeply national in content and subordinated to the education of young people on the basis of spirituality and national-patriotic consciousness, contributes to the preservation of the song traditions of the Ukrainian people. A simple presentation, clearly defined structure (form), accessibility of the subject, range, and melodic and intonation tools are characteristic features of the composer’s pedagogical work. The didactic material of the publications corresponded to the specifics of children’s perception and was close to the students, their psychology, contributed to the development of national and patriotic beliefs. The preparation of the religious repertoire for children, as a significant part of the musical and pedagogical heritage of Ivan Kyprian, was a natural necessity, which was determined by the need to educate Ukrainian youth with a high moral character and national dignity. As a Greek-Catholic priest, he did everything to preserve the traditions of church singing, to attract as many people as possible to it. It has been established that in his musical and pedagogical activity, the composer adhered to the principle of the unity of national and musical education in the process of schooling. He actively influenced the development of music education in the region through his musical and pedagogical works. The forms and methods of music education proposed by the composer had a great impact on the democratization of the educational process, and became a significant contribution to the foundation on which musical education, music-pedagogical science, and in particular, the theory and practice of building the Ukrainian national school were strengthened and developed. У статті здійснено аналіз педагогічної спадщини Івана Кипріяна та розкрито її значення для розвитку музичної освіти Галичини другої половини XIX – початку XXст. Встановлено, що вона є глибоко національною за змістом і підпорядкована вихованню молоді на засадах духовності та національно-патріотичної свідомості, сприяє збереженню пісенних традицій українського народу. У своїй музично-педагогічній діяльності Іван Кипріян дотримувався принципу єдності національного та музичного виховання, активно впливав на розвиток національних переконань і свідомості учнів. |
