Popis: The article highlights the issue of using the experience of Great Britain to ensure the quality of pharmaceutical education. The legislative and regulatory framework for ensuring the quality of higher pharmaceutical education, in particular the standards of higher pharmaceutical education, procedures for external and internal examination and assessment of the quality of professional training of pharmacists, was analyzed. Certain provisions and requirements defined in key regulatory documents are highlighted, as well as the influence of well-known professional organizations and agencies on ensuring the quality of pharmaceutical education and training of pharmacists is clarified. It was found that the main goal of ensuring high quality of pharmaceutical education and professional training of pharmacists is to update the goals and expected learning outcomes that meet the demands of the pharmaceutical industry and the needs of the labor market. It was established that the criteria for evaluating the quality of professional training of pharmacists require compliance with educational goals and objectives, educational programs, specialization, and the professional level of the teaching staff. Taking into account the needs of students, taking care of the balanced workload of teachers, transforming the content of education are the characteristic indicators for each criterion. It is noted that the main attention is paid to the development of quality control tools, forms and methods of evaluating the study results of applicants, improving the qualifications of teachers, managing and using educational resources effectively. Requirements for the structure of educational programs, descriptors of educational results, etc. are highlighted. The requirements for practical professional support programs for young pharmacists at the stage of their early career are characterized on the basis of a practical-oriented approach. The role and mission of agencies, organizations and societies in ensuring the quality of pharmaceutical education is clarified, which consists in popularizing pharmacy as the vanguard of health and safety, as well as supporting and developing pharmaceutical education and recognizing the quality of professional qualifications of British pharmacists in the world.
У статті проаналізовано законодавчо-нормативне забезпечення якості вищої фармацевтичної освіти та професійної підготовки фармацевтів у Великій Британії. З’ясовано вплив відомих фахових організацій та агенцій на забезпечення якості фармацевтичної освіти і підготовки фармацевтів. Встановлено, що головною метою забезпечення високої якості фармацевтичної освіти та професійної підготовки фармацевтів є оновлення цілей та очікуваних результатів навчання, які відповідають запитам фармацевтичної галузі та потребам ринку праці. Охарактеризовано критерії оцінювання якості та вимоги до програм практичної підтримки молодих фармацевтів на етапі ранньої кар’єри.
