ЗАГАЛЬНОТЕОРЕТИЧНІ ЗАСАДИ ФЕНОМЕНА «СИСТЕМА»

Popis: The author outlines the role and place of systematic methodology in modern linguistics. In the research the author uses famous linguists’ works; conducts logical and epistemological analysis of «system» and its use in the context of modern scientific knowledge about the system in general and sign systems in particular. Trying to define the system as «an object that has the property of consistency» probably quite characteristic for ordinary consciousness, in the discourse of science author considers neither correct nor logical, nor epistemological view. In author’s opinion, the purpose of scientific knowledge is to study the structure and function of the object, to study its internal and external relationships, clarifying its substantive aspects, that is the nature of its components (parts and components).The contents of concepts «system approach», «system methodology», «system analysis» are also revealed. The main task of the system analysis is focused on: horizontal and vertical integration of scientific and disciplinary knowledge. The author emphasizes the fact that system analysis is an adaptation of the system approach to the specifics of the subject field of a particular science, system analysis is implemented as a concretization of the basic provisions of the general theory of systems in terms of specific scientific discipline. It is also noted that system analysis does not replace or supplant the scientific knowledge of the diversity of concrete scientific methods. Its general purpose is to provide methodological unity and conceptual connectivity of cognitive means within a separate scientific research. This task is particularly relevant in social sciences and the humanities, where eclecticism is often justified by the postmodernist interpretation of «freedom of creativity». One of the most important parts of the tasks of system analysis is the retention of scientific research from conceptual syncretism, that is, from the attempts of theorists to combine in one concept the structural and / or functional characteristics that belong to different hierarchical levels of the investigated system-object. Another important task of system analysis is a clear delineation of verification procedures for statements that belong to the empirical and theoretical levels of scientific knowledge. The theory directly describes the class of its models, and not empirically observable reality. Therefore, with observable phenomena and facts, it is not necessary to compare the separate theoretical statements, but the theoretical model in general. Finally, according to the author, an important component of the general task of system analysis is the «horizontal» and «vertical» integration of scientific and disciplinary knowledge, where the «horizontal» integration of knowledge is called selection, harmonization and consolidation into a single system of rationally grounded results achieved in a certain area of scientific knowledge, and «vertical» – the systematic coordination of the empirical, theoretical, metatheoretical and methodological aspects of a particular scientific research. «Vertical» integration, in particular, provides for the definition of the conditions of applicability of one or the other method, the definition of «intervals of abstraction» and, accordingly, «boundaries», within which some concepts can be used methodologically correctly.
Автор окреслює місце і роль системної методології в сучасній лінгвістиці, проводить логіко-епістемологічний аналіз поняття «система» і його використання в контексті сучасного наукового знання про системи загалом і знакові системи зокрема. Розкрито також зміст понять «системний підхід», «системна методологія», «системний аналіз». Приділено увагу основним завданням системного аналізу: горизонтальній і вертикальній інтеграції науково-дисциплінарного знання.
