| Popis: | The article underscores the fact that each and every composer has his or her own unique style, manner of writing, individual means of expression, his or her own school of composership; they all, however, are united by the fact that each one of them is making his or her own substantial and valuable contribution into the music for Shevchenko’s Kobzar poetry collection. Thus, music created by Mykola Lysenko for Shevchenko’s Kobzar poetry collection is his uniquely powerful and valuable contribution into the Ukrainian vocal art. Having been deeply immersed into Taras Shevchenko’s poetry, the great composer created plenty of congenial works that then became invaluable treasures of Ukrainian culture. Same as in the case with treasures of folklore, Lysenko’s works “live and breathe” and never grow old. Neither time, nor fashion, nor social upheavals, nor ideological shifts have ever inflicted these works; they are eternal, like the eternal spirit of the Ukrainian nation. Creative heritage of Taras Shevchenko has been, is, and will ever be a genuine source of inspiration for composers. Its importance is as crucial for the development of Ukrainian music as it is for Ukrainian literature. In Shevchenko’s poetry, the Ukrainian musical culture has found that very source that gave it an impetus to ascend to the level of genuine professionalism. Having established itself on that level, it now possesses a firm foundation securing its further development and enhancement. Every new generation of composers comes up with a new perspective from which it views Shevchenko’s poetry and permeates its inexhaustible content. It should be, however, noted that a genuine, in-depth comprehension of Shevchenko is yet to be attained. Our task, on the other hand, is to bring up the upcoming generation of musicians worthy of this grand assignment and capable of successfully accomplishing it. Contemporary composers, in their creative works, shall awaken the consciousness of the younger generations who shall absorb the everlasting words of the great Kobzar through amazing music. The assignment of the present work consists in tracing back the manner in which Taras Shevchenko’s poetry is being comprehended and perceived by contemporary composers and to ascertain which forms and techniques did they apply in order to map his poetry onto music. У статті зазначено, що поезія Великого Кобзаря не залишила байдужим жодне покоління композиторів. Кожен музикант по своєму перечитував Шевченка шукаючи нові форми і виразові засоби для втілення багатющого образного і емоційного світу поетичного першоджерела. Проте бачимо, що всі вони, незалежно від композиторської школи, часу і географії вбачали основним джерелом своєї творчості українську народну пісню, національний фольклор. Пісні та романси на слова Шевченка сучасних українських композиторів включені у програмний навчальний матеріал. Вивчення цих творів сприяє розвитку вокально-технічних можливостей студентів музичних закладів освіти. |
