The data set concerns epigraphy. It refers to the epitaph placed in St. Mary’s Church in Gdańsk which is dedicated to John Botsack, esteemed professor and rector of the Gdańsk Academic Gymnasium, Lutheran pastor of the St. Mary church in Gdańsk, author of many theological dissertations, polemical writings and sermons written in both Latin and German. The data set contains one general photo of the epitaph, transcription of its text in Latin, its Polish translation, and the short biography of the deceased, also in Polish. |
