Introduction: Although there exists an extensive amount of literature on effects of the group-based parenting program Incredible Years Parent Training (IYPT), evidence is still mixed and unclear as to which subgroups benefit most from the intervention and why. Understanding differential effects is important to better target the families who benefit from the IYPT and determine which families need additional or alternative measures. Aims: We aim to explore program version, the participation of one or both parents, the classification of the IYPT as preventive or treatment, child gender, child and parent mental and physical health status, family household type, and parental unemployment as predictors of differential treatment effects. Methods: Pre- and posttest data were collected on a large sample of 841 children (2-12 years of age) and their parents participating in the IYPTin one of 19 community sites across Denmark in the years 2012-2019. The Eyberg Child Behavior Inventory (ECBI) was used to measure parental perceptions of the frequency of disruptive behaviors of their child. We examined prediction of change using multiple regression models with pretest ECBI Intensity sum scores as outcome. Results: Preliminary results will be presented at the conference. |
