| Popis: | The present report describes the existing scientific background for and the possibilities of developing one or more indicators of the negative effects of pesticide use in Denmark. The primary reason for preparing this report is to fulfil the request of national authorities for an indicator which is not only better but more correctly reflects negative effects than the existing indicators. This includes the request of a national indicator which does not only calculate pressure or risk. Though, there is also a request for indicators at a smaller scale to demonstrate the relationship between the use of pesticides and their side effects, or alternatively the reduction of side effects at the local level. In accordance with the terms of reference for the present task, the report only includes detrimental effects on organisms and ecosystems whereas other effects such as ground water pollution is not included. |
