PubMedID: 11245130 Two patients with crossed renal ectopia studied with Tc-99m DMSA end Tc-99m DTPA imaging end ultrasonography are described. Tc-99m DTPA scans were typical in both patients. Both ureters inserted into the bladder normally, but the left ureter crossed the midline to the bladder insertion. In the first patient, Tc-99m DMSA imaging also showed a typical appearance of crossed renal ectopia with a malrotated left kidney fused anteriorly to the lower pole of the right kidney, which was in the normal position. |
