The progressive evolution of health care systems in terms of organization and delivery of care has given body to the development of a new hospital model oriented toward providing global patient care and formulated into different levels of care. The authors discuss several organizational and professional aspects which should be developed in order to fully implement this model giving special emphasis to the development of definitions of levels of care and of new models of medical and nursing care. |
