Popis: | We present the use of recombinant activated factor VIIa (rFVIIa) in a 6-month-old infant that suffered massive bleeding and subsequent coagulation disturbances during elective surgery for choroid plexus carcinoma in the lateral ventricle. The administration of rFVIIa resulted in good hemostasis. No intra- or postoperative thromboembolic complications were observed. |
