To present an additional case of leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava and review the literature, with special reference to the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of this rare tumor.The patient was submitted to radical surgery and short course radiotherapy. Twelve months thereafter, the patient is asymptomatic and disease-free.Leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava is a rare and aggressive tumor. Treatment is by aggressive and radical surgery. |
