Popis: Chronic kidney disease is associated with protein-energy malnutrition aggravated by chronic inflammation, the presence of comorbidities and old age. Standardising or reducing the intake of protein and salt are the first dietary objectives of patients with kidney failure. Patients' sodium intake must be monitored at every stage of the chronic disease. Regular nutritional follow-up is essential in order to detect malnutrition. Therapeutic education favours the compliance of the patient with the dietary recommendations.
