Oxidative and biosynthetic processes in the myocardium, blood serum thyroid hormones, thyroid and adrenal morphometric characteristics were investigated in rabbits upon the exposure of their thyroid projection zone to decimeter waves (460 MHz, 10 mW/cm2), administration of mercazolil (150 mg) given in courses and upon combined use of these modalities. Mercazolil was found to modulate the responses of the studied systems to the waves. This may be explained by feasible regulatory effect of the waves on mercazolil-induced changes in rabbit functions. |
