Using laser mass-spectrometry elemental and isotopic studies of atherosclerotic plaques (atheromatosis, calcinosis) and adjacent tissues were performed. The studies have revealed changes in concentrations of various elements depending on the gravity of the disease (atheromatosis, calcinosis) and impaired natural distribution of calcium and silicon isotopes independent of the damage degree. |
