[Carbohydrate digestive disorder in mechanical jaundice of tumorous genesis]

Popis:	The results of investigations of the cavitary and perimural digestion of carbohydrates in cancer of the pancreatic gland and periampular zone are analyzed. Under examination were 41 patients (31 -- prior to operation for the creation of biliodigestive anatomosis, 10 -- in late terms after the operation) and 7 members of a control group. Greatly decreased amylolytic activity of the small intestine was revelaved in patients with malignization of the pancreas and periampular zone complicated by obstructive jaundice. Palliative operations fail to normalize the amylolytic activity of the small intestine.
