Examination of 4138 adolescents aged 15-17 years (schoolchildren, students of technical vocational schools and specialized secondary schools and colleges) who are residents of two Kazakhstan towns differing in the epidemiological situation has shown that the mean M. tuberculosis contamination of the adolescents, residents of the epidemiologically unfavourable region, is high, attaining 47.5%. It is higher among the girls, students of secondary schools and it grows with age. Students of technical vocational schools, specialized secondary schools and colleges comprise a risk group of tuberculosis contamination, which requires the improvement of a preventive work among this contingent of adolescents. |
