The correlation of the intrapartum blood coagulability and the amount of postpartum blood was followed up. Blood coagulability was assessed with electric coagulography and the blood loss amount, with gravimetry. It was found that pathological postpartum blood loss occurred in the females whose labor onset was distinguished by the predominance of hypercoagulation with its subsequent intrapartum decrease. Therefore, insignificant (less than 9 per cent) increment in the blood coagulability during the labor can be regarded as a prognostic sign of pathological postpartum blood loss. |
