Popis: We report a case of spinal cord infarction in a 20-year-old man, who underwent abdominal surgery under general anesthesia combined with epidural anesthesia. The patient was a healthy young man with no medical history. After the operation, he complained of weakness and sensory blockade of both legs. MRI revealed spinal cord infarction at the T9-10 vertebral levels. Steroid pulse therapy was introduced, and paraplegia almost disappeared. Spinal cord infarction in a young man is very rare, but should be considered in case of postoperative paraplegia even in a young patient.
