Brown tumors developing in renal transplant recipients with persistent hyperparathyroidism: two case reports and review of literature

Popis:	Brown tumors, evidence for severe hyperparathyroidism, are rare in end-stage renal disease, and are distinctly uncommon in patients with a functioning renal transplant.We report two cases of brown tumors developing after renal transplantation, and discuss their presentation and treatment. We review the literature.We suggest that persistent hyperparathyroidism post-renal transplant requires aggressive intervention to avoid significant consequences.
