Capsule endoscopy present for 2001 had revolutionized diagnostics of small bowel. Initially because of cost, lack of experiences and completely new form of diagnostics it seemed that capsule endoscopy will be for a long time only technical innovation. Now, after several years of experiences capsule endoscopy has a grounded position in diagnostic of small bowel. After the success of capsule for small bowel diagnostics, appeared the next -for esophagus and the newest for colon diagnostics. The progress of technique is the chance to modernize and enlarging the possibilities of capsules in the future, for example taking biopsies or making small therapeutic interventions in the alimentary track. |
