Popis:	Diabetes mellitus is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States and a major cause of blindness and heart disease. Often, physicians do not comply with American Diabetes Association standards of practice. We report improved resident physicians' compliance with American Diabetes Association (ADA) standards of care for patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus after the implementation of a disease management tool for diabetes mellitus.
