Popis: The female genital tract is an infrequent site of metastasis, particularly for extragenital primaries. The ovary and vagina are the sites within the female genital tract that are the most frequently affected. The uterine corpus, especially the endometrium, is a distinctly unusual site of involvement. Primary lung cancer is the source of metastatic tumor to the female genital tract in less than 5% of patients. In the reported instances of endometrial involvement by a primary lung cancer, adenocarcinoma has been the reported subtype. Here, we report a case of well-differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung metastatic to the endometrium in a 68-year-old woman with postmenopausal bleeding. Immunohistochemical studies were performed to confirm the neuroendocrine nature of the neoplasm.
