Popis:	Temporal arteritis is a common disease of the elderly. Although overall mortality does not differ between patients with temporal arteritis and the general population of similar age, temporal arteritis does cause major morbidity and death. Early diagnosis and treatment with corticosteroids can prevent these complications.
