Electron microscopical and electron histochemical studies and functional investigation of platelets have been undertaken in 10 normal individuals and 20 patients with ischaemic heart disease and angina pectoris of effort before and after acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) administration during 3 days. In ischaemic heart disease changes in the ultrastructure of platelets have been recorded, pointing to their activation. After ASA administration there was decrease of functional activity, due to structural changes in the plasma membrane, lysosome membranes, fragmentation of platelets, enhanced process of autophagia, decrease of enzymatic activity of structure organelles of platelets. |
