| Popis: | An increase in the number of eosinophils in blood, tissues or sputum is found in many pulmonary disorders, although the review is mainly concerned with the association of eosinophilia with bronchial asthma and pulmonary eosinophilia. In this review, the morphology and life cycle of eosinophils is discussed. The role played by eosinophil secretions and eosinophil chemoattractants in the pathophysiology of the lung is also reviewed. |
