Popis: Clinical and histopathologic findings in 21 dogs with glomerular disease were reviewed. Diagnoses included amyloidosis, glomerulonephritis, and secondary glomerular atrophy. Dogs with amyloidosis excreted the largest amount of urinary protein per day, and 5 of 6 so affected had clinical signs of advanced renal disease at the time of examination. Dogs with glomerulonephritis excreted significantly less urinary protein per day, and none had clinical signs of advanced renal disease at the time of examination. The magnitude of proteinuria was correlated more with the nature of the glomerular lesion than with the stage of renal disease.
