Activation composition of lymphocyte population and killer cell phenotype are shifted in patients with catarrhal gingivitis during exacerbation and remission. Our findings indicate high activation of T-cellular immunity and NK cells in patients with exacerbation of catarrhal gingivitis, while remission is characterized by decreased level of activated T cells expressing HLA DR+ molecule on their surface and increased level of killer suppressors expressing IL-2 receptors. |
