| Popis: | This review summarises current data on the origin, structure and functions of skin melanocytes. Methods of melanocyte identification, including the immunohistochemical ones, are presented. Cellular mechanisms of melanosome formation, their transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes and the problems of melanogenesis control in humans, are discussed. |
