Popis:	A gradual accumulation of the alkali-labile sites in DNA of cultured Chinese hamster cells during "stationary phase ageing" was shown by ultracentrifugation in alkaline sucrose gradients. A possibility is discussed of using the stationary phase mammalian cell cultures as a model for studies of ageing mechanisms.
