[Effect of anti-atherosclerotic diet enriched with dietary fibers on lipid metabolism in patients with ischemic heart disease]

Popis:	Positive influence of the diet enriched with food fibers on the lipid level was demonstrated in 158 coronary patients. After the treatment the rate of all the types of hyperlipidemia dropped, the percent of patients with normal lipidemia increased. Significant changes were observed in patients with excessive body weight, when the bw lowering was attended by diminution of hyperlipidemia. Basing on the results of the study the authors have recommended that food fibers should be included into the combined treatment and for prevention of coronary heart disease.
