Popis: The primary care physician plays a critical role in reassuring parents about their child's orthopedic development in the lower extremity. Paramount to this reassurance is the ability to understand the normal and natural history of lower extremity development. Family physicians should be able to diagnose and treat metatarsus varus, internal and external tibial torsion, femoral anteversion and femoral retroversion, bow legs, knock knees, and flat feet. The chief complaint often turns out to be only a variation of normal physiological growth and development.
