Popis: Interprofessional education (IPE) is increasingly accepted as a core element of health professions education. Its primary function is to prepare health professions students to engage in and deliver interprofessional, team-based healthcare, with the ultimate goal of improving the health and well-being of patients and clients. This paper summarizes findings from 10 interviews with institutional leaders in the field. The goal was to discover core themes than contribute to the art and science of IPE. Thematic challenges and successes are reviewed, and recommendations are provided for further research and for those interested in developing or improving IPE in their own institutions.
