| Popis: | Silicosis is an ancient disease, but with modern understanding of safe levels of exposure, it should be a vanishing disease. Emphasis will be placed on newer concepts in the pathogenesis of the disease and the health effects of low levels of quartz dust in relation to current exposure standards. The ongoing controversy regarding the carcinogenicity of quartz is discussed. |
