The incidence of tumors seen in the first year (1992) at the Head and Neck Oncology Unit of the Hospital Virgen de la Concha of Zamora is evaluated. The distribution of cases is analyzed by site, stage and treatment. The minimal incidence of malignant tumors of the upper digestive tract and airways is estimated at 39.5 new cases per 100,000 habitants, and the minimal prevalence is estimated at 96.7 patients per 100,000 habitants. |
