Popis:	Receptors of most hematopoietic growth factors are structurally related and grouped in the hematopoietin or cytokine receptor superfamily. In this paper, we will first review the general principles of hematopoietin receptor complex formation and cytoplasmic signaling. Subsequently, the significance of defective hematopoietic growth factor receptors for the development of hematological diseases will be discussed.
