Popis:	Successful management of airway wounds are gauged by the extent to which the three functions of the airway (protection, respiration, phonation) are preserved. A major objective during wound healing of the airway is to minimize scarring and stricture formation. This article discusses the important concepts relating to current management strategies of the airway and encourages future directions of research.
