A survey was conducted following the publication of the Royal Decree of 21 January 2009 that implicates changes and imposes the editing of a Quality Manual for each Belgian pharmacy. The survey reveals that the earlier obligations are respected by the vast majority of survey participants, but the changes imposed by the recent Royal Decree are not yet applied everywhere. Most pharmacists interviewed are aware of the requirement to write a Quality Manual (mandatory as from 1 January 2012) and 47% of them sees an interest other than a legal obligation to write it. Despite the promotion by APB and professional associations, only two-thirds of the survey participants knows the site MyQualityAssistant but most of them know it was developed to help pharmacists compose their Quality Manual. |
