Molecular diagnostic kits for detection and identification of agents of melioidosis and glanders on environmental objects and in clinical material are described. It was demonstrated that PCR with use of specific primers on the basis of different genetic targets could be useful for determination of generic, inter- and intraspecies belonging of pathogenic Burkholderia as well as for epidemiologic inspection of territories where melioidosis is enzootic. |
