Popis:	Injuries to the region of the major salivary glands, especially the parotid, may have important sequelae and require insight and persistence to manage. This is an area in which microsurgery comes into its own, especially for repair of the duct or nerve. In cases of severe injury or complications, the removal of the involved gland is always an option.
